Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American performer, actress and songwriter. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy show "The Goldbergs". She is, however, musician. According her, is the first thing she is passionate about. She began playing with it at age nine. At the age 12 she was taking the music seriously enough that she began studying professionally. In the age of 13, she began creating songs. She recorded her debut album when she was 14. From then on she's not been back. Orrantia was born in America, but has Hispanic ancestry. Even though she spoke only English as a child and never visited Mexico Orrantia is happy with her Hispanic background. To keep it, she has learned Spanish and created songs in that language. She has recorded a Spanish version of a song called 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was a contestant on The X Factor during its debut season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was the winner of the initial season of The X Factor following the submission of a YouTube audition video. She received four "yes" votes of the judge in the live stage show in Seattle. Although she originally auditioned as a solo artist, during "Hollywood Week" She, along with three other female singers, were placed into groups for the remaining part of auditions. Live shows were staged in the fifth week.
