Pickler was raised in a challenging environment. Her mother left her when she was only two to escape from the abuse of her partner. Pickler's mother returned in 1995 into her life, and she took full charge of the child. It did not work out very well. So when she was 12 the court gave back Pickler to her grandparents whom she grew up with. Pickler with the help of her parents as well as her elder siblings, became too busy to become a mom.
